Exporting
=========

Customize export behavior with format labels, custom formats, and exporter handlers.

Configure Export Formats and Labels
-----------------------------------

exportFormats controls which menu items are shown and which formats export() accepts. exportFormatLabels controls what users see in the settings menu.

Register a Custom Exporter
--------------------------

Map a format key to a callable, class-string, or object with export() in customExporters.

The exporter receives headers, rows, filename, format, and the active datatable instance.

Optional: Object with export()
------------------------------

If your exporter object is not invokable, define an export() method with the same arguments.

Alternative exporter method

Keep exportFormats as an explicit allow-list and validate requested formats server-side to avoid exposing unintended handlers.

For large exports, prefer streamed responses and avoid loading full transformed datasets into memory in one step.
